Exploration
is a central aspect of breaking down the boundaries of design and
engaging with interesting people from other disciplines and walks of
life. My research has involved the exploration of physical form
in conjunction with academic research through the Master Paesaggi Straordinari
course in Italy as well as working with three artists, Emanuela Ascari,
Vera Uberti and Valetina Vetturi in collaborative community engagement
project in partneship with Ermengildo Zegna and the Fondazione Pistoletto (cittadellarte)
to explore and enage with peoples perception of landscape and
appreciation of its economic as well as intangible values in Trivero
(BI) Italy.
Collaboration with international colleagues through the DesignWorkGroup
network and organising annual design workshops and competitions
maintains a cross cultural discourse in design and challenges
participants to engage in areas outside of their disciplines.
